Novotel Twin Waters Resort Review
About 9 km (5½ mi) north of Maroochydore, this hotel was built around a 15-acre saltwater lagoon bordering Maroochy River and Mudjimba Beach. The family-friendly resort lies adjacent to one of Queensland's finest golf courses, where golfers share the greens with kangaroos. There are resident golf, surfing, tennis, and (on school holidays) circus pros; catamaran sailing, windsurfing, and canoeing on the lagoon are free for guests. Choose from three accommodation styles: twin Resort rooms, King suites—each with a kitchenette, lounge area, and hot tub—and lavish Lagoon suites, popular with couples. All rooms have high-speed Internet, pay movies, and Sony PlayStation games, and were given fresh soft furnishings in 2007. The over-water day spa incorporates a hair salon and art gallery.
