Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa Review

Facing fashionable Hastings Street on one side, the river on the other, you can't miss this elaborate, six-story, horseshoe-shaped complex as you drive into Noosa Heads; it was recently repainted a simple, chic white to highlight the sparkling azure of the central pool. All rooms, including the standard rooms (with kitchenette, hot tub, and terrace or balcony, many with river or pool views) and spa studios (with balcony Jacuzzis), were upgraded and refurbished in 2013. The hotel also has a new on-site designer restaurant, Noosa Beach House, serving buffet breakfasts, nightly à la carte dinner and lunch on weekends, as well as a luxury day spa.

Damage to Vehicle while using Sheraton Noosa Car Park

My Wife and I decided to have our First Wedding Anniversary at the Sheraton Noosa from the 17th of September until the 19th. I drive a 2003 Land Rover Discovery and when we checked in they asked how tall my car was, i showed them the sticker on the sun visor that clearly states its 1980mm tall, The staff advised that i would be fine and to park in the 4wd area, even though the carpark has a maximum clearance of 1900mm. After using our car for 2 days we noticed the roof had been heavily scratched by the signs stating that the maximum height of the car park is 1900mm. I bought this to the attention of the manager of duty, Jon Coppola, who made a note of it and said someone would take photo's and speak to me before i left. When i was ready to Check-Out Lisa Whiting came down to the car park to inspect the damage and had to hold the warning sign up so we could get out of the carpark, Unfortunately Lisa is not very tall and she helped us get out of the carpark but we could hear the sign rubbing on the roof as we were leaving. She advised me that she would have a response within24hrs about the matter. I emailed her several pictures and she never returned my call. Finally Jon Coppola answered the phone and told me they were not going to cover the damage. I was very disappointed as this is the only 5 star resort in Noosa and we had to pay $20 a day for parking. Now i am left with a respray bill of over $4000 to stop the roof rusting. I will never stay in a Starwood Group Hotel and i travel every month for business. I will be cancelling my Starwood Preferred Membership and will not recommend anyone to stay at there Hotels worldwide. I am very disappointed with there response as Lisa could clearly see the sign did not clear the car. I will be posting photo's and warnings on 2 new websites i am creating to warn other guests about there lack of responsibility when it comes to admitting a fault with there staff and carpark. I would not recommend anyone stay there as the service was not good and there response to this matter was unacceptable. Please be advised of the New Websites which will be launched by Friday the 28th of September www.sheratonnoosacarpark.com and www.dontparkatsheratonnoosa.com which i will be releasing photo's and enabling users to enter comments about there stay with the sheraton noosa.
