Heron Island Travel Guide
Various diving options include a resort diving course for beginners, including training and one guided dive, for A$190 (subsequent dives, A$139). For certified divers it's A$70 per dive, and just A$50 per dive upward of five dives. Night dives, including light stick and flashlight, are A$99. Three-, five-, and seven-night dive packages include multiple dives throughout Heron and Wistari reefs, as well as accommodation, breakfast, buffet lunch, dinner, and all tanks and weights, starting from A$270 per person per night. Half- and full-day dive boat charters are also available.
For all dives, prebooking is essential, and gear costs you extra. Children under 7 aren't permitted on snorkeling trips, under-10s can't go diving, and under-14s must be accompanied by an adult (and if diving, must be certified).
