Cairns's iconic weekend "street" market, Rusty's attracts 180-plus stallholders, who peddle everything from fresh tropical produce to art and crafts, jewelry, clothing, natural health and skin-care products, and food. The market is covered, offering a pleasant respite from the sun. Take advantage of two hours' free parking in Gilligan’s/Rusty's carpark, above Rusty’s on Sheridan Street.

The Reef Marina

Port Douglas's sparkling marina houses specialty and souvenir shops, a handful of restaurants and bars, and service outlets, including the offices of various cruise, dive, and tour operators. Luxury yachts, dive and cruise boats, and fishing vessels, some available for day trips and charters, fill the busy 115-berth marina. On Wednesday afternoon (2–7 pm) and on days when cruise ships are in port, Sunset Markets with local arts, crafts, jewelry, food, and live music, are held on the marina deck.
