Whet Restaurant Review
Stylish and hip yet comfortable, Whet's licensed eatery-bar attracts visitors and locals alike. The outdoor deck is perfect for cocktails; food, wine, and service would hold their own in most big cities. Fresh regional and seasonal ingredients, including lots of local seafood, are deftly combined in fresh, simple Mod-Oz dishes with Asian and Mediterranean influences. Gluten-free and vegetarian meals are available, as are healthy options for kids. Booking ahead is a good idea for peak times. Whet Flicks, a laid-back licensed 24-seat cinema upstairs, runs daily sessions of pre-DVD-release movies. Relax in air-conditioned comfort on beanbags, recliners, or leather lounges and enjoy tapas-style snacks with the film. Meal-movie deals are available.
