Hamilton Island Beach Club Review

The upscale amenities and no-kids policy mean that this hotel swarms with couples. Rooms, given a "designer beachside" makeover in 2005 and a soft refurb in 2011, have retro-look furnishings, flat-screen TVs, entertainment systems, "deluxe" minibars, ceiling fans, and shuttered doors leading to private balconies or courtyards. There's a concierge service, useful for booking activities and making restaurant reservations at the island's various eateries, plus a free 24-hour island chaffeur service (including airport transfers) in motorized buggies. Also complimentary are use of the on-site book and games library, infinity pool, gym and sports complex facilities, nonmotorized water-sports equipment, and à la carte breakfasts. Staff are friendly, but don't expect them to go that extra mile.
