At this rustic beach shack–style licensed bar/café on the rain forest–fringed Coral Sea shore, big breakfasts and fresh cafe-style lunch fare (including vegan and gluten-free dishes) come with glorious ocean views. Breakfast begins at 7:30 am and runs until lunch, which could be grilled or crumbed barramundi, salt-n-pepper squid, or a seafood basket; a generous steak, chicken, fish or vege burger; or a mezze plate to share (A$26). You can also get steak sandwiches, BLTs and house-made salads---all available with chips, and there are plenty of healthy, kid-friendly options on the menu. The bar is stocked with boutique beers, champagne by the bottle, and a small selection of wines, available by the bottle or glass. You can also get house-made cakes, tea and French press coffee. CJ's can be busy when tour buses converge here, fare but the location's terrific: nab an outside table and contemplate the delightful environs. .
