Fodor's Review

At this well-run B&B adjoining Daintree Zoo, wallabies, kangaroos, cockatoos, emus, and Southern cassowaries wander the grounds, often joining guests for tropical breakfasts in the open-sided dining area. Spacious, simply decorated rooms overlook the zoo, lagoon pool, or tropical gardens. All have air-conditioning, furnished balconies or patios, ceiling fans, and small flat-screen TVs. Six spacious "Aviary" rooms have en suite bathrooms, bar fridges, free in-room Wi-Fi, TVs, and DVD players. You can also stay in budget "Pool Side" rooms with shared facilities. All room rates include freshly prepared tropical breakfasts, and barbecue buffet dinners on site in busy periods. Stay two or more nights to get A$20 off per night; stay three nights and you also get a free croc cruise for two. Guests get half-price zoo entry (A$15) with unlimited access, giving you the chance to see the sanctuary's nocturnal residents at their most active (bring a torch). Reception sells food for the animals.
