The Gunshop Café
The Gunshop Café Review
Named after its previous life as an actual gun shop, this trendy West End café is the place to go for brunch on weekends (the potato-feta hash cakes with spinach, house-dried tomato, and herbed sour cream are locally famous). Unfinished brick walls where guns once hung lend a rustic ambience. Dine around wooden tables near the open kitchen or request a seat out on the sidewalk. A select but eclectic Mod-Oz menu fuses Mediterranean and Asian flavors in dishes featuring premium Margaret River lamb, Angus beef, duck, and seafood; they also do vegetarian dishes and exciting salads, with produce sourced from local markets. Foodies flock here for lunch, dinner, or even just a coffee and dessert; the flourless orange and almond cake is particularly unforgettable.
