Stamford Plaza Brisbane Review

This refined riverfront hotel next to the City Botanic Gardens offers a retreat from the city. The soaring lobby, with its floral arrangements, artwork, sweeping timber staircase, and expanses of glass, is inviting and overlooks a leafy courtyard. Guest rooms, decorated in neoclassical style, enjoy clear views over the river and have flat-screen TVs. Four dining spots include the hotel's signature restaurant, Brasserie on The River, and lively Kabuki, considered the city's best teppanyaki restaurant. Arguably the most famous of the many celebrities who've stayed here is HM Queen Elizabeth II, who visited in 2002.
