Fodor's Review

An Aladdin's cave of candles and spices, this traditional Tibetan-Nepalese sanctuary is one of Brisbane's most popular inner-city eats. While its famous Sherpa chicken and goat curries certainly impress, it's the restaurant's heavenly homemade entrée breads that keep patrons coming back—divinely moist and fluffy, each is served with a minted yogurt dipping sauce in the traditional Himalayan style. When it comes to mains, there's something for everyone, from vegans and vegetarians to the most committed carnivores: spicy noodle soups, tofu and vegetable curries; and tender lamb, beef, chicken, and goat dishes in a range of flavors and intensities. For an extra treat, ask for a seat in one of the traditional Himalayan raised rooms.
