Fodor's Review

Despite its position above the city's main rail station, this decadent, French-flavored hotel is a quiet and classy choice when it comes to city-center accommodations and feels worlds away from the rush below with its sophisticated, Parisian atmosphere that begins in the soaring lobby. The spacious rooms and suites impress with marble bathrooms, chaise lounges, and what are advertised as "the world's most comfortable beds" (not too far from the truth) with a personalized pillow menu to match. A lavish pool and Jacuzzi area overlooks the lights of the city, and Sofitel's three on-site restaurants are regular award winners. Spacious Junior, Executive, and a two-story Opera Suite occupy the hotel's higher floors, the last frequently attracting VIP and celebrity guests.
