WhiteWater World

Fodor's Review:

Next door to Dreamworld, and under the same management, is the Gold Coast's latest thrill-seeking theme park, WhiteWater World. Here, you'll find state-of-the-art water rides including the Blue Ringed Octopus (BRO), a convoluted 8-lane racer slide; The Rip—Australia's biggest corkscrew-cored whirlpool; an inner-tube "aquacoaster" ride packed with serpentine curves, drops, slides, and 360° turns known as the Temple of Huey; and The Green Room, a 20-meter-high "tube" simulating the inside of a monster wave. Anklebiters will enjoy Nickelodeon's Pipeline Plunge, with 100-plus watery activities. Toddlers can play safely at Wiggle Bay, with its pint-size water slides, water cannons, shade, and supervision. The park is 48 km , or around 45 minutes' drive, from Brisbane, 17 km or 25-30 minutes' drive from Surfers Paradise along the M1 (exit 54 at Coomera).

  • Cost: A$42 park entry; A$99 2-Day World Pass
  • Open: Daily 10:30-4:30
