This late-19th-century B&B is for those who would rather stay outside the hubbub of central Brisbane. With high ceilings, ornate cornices, and reproduction antiques, the rooms exude both comfort and old-fashioned romance—but each has its own TV. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on a patio with a view of the suburbs. Proprietors Peter and Morna Cook are happy to let guests use the kitchen or barbecue grill for lunch or dinner. Complimentary homemade aromatherapy toiletries are a classy touch. For stays of two nights or more, you get a reduced rate.
