This east-coast resort has the best of Fraser Island at its doorstep. Lake McKenzie and Central Station are 20 minutes away, and the famous Seventy-Five Mile Beach, Eli Creek, and other coastal attractions are within an easy drive. Lodgings range from four-person dorms (mainly for groups) to standard rooms and two-bedroom apartments. Some units overlook the ocean, others the resort and pool area. Fully inclusive, two-day Fraser Explorer tour packages (from A$255 quad-share, with room upgrades available) include all meals. Buffet dinners are available for A$25 per person, and there's a bakery for snacks. The resort store sells everything from food to fuel and fishing gear.
