With the liveliest bar and bistro in Airlie Beach on the premises, this hostel in the center of town attracts a party crowd, which makes things noisy (but keeps dorms near-empty) until around midnight. Stay in an eight-bed dorm or opt for a more private double or twin room; each is air-conditioned, serviced daily, and has an en suite bathroom, small TV, fridge, and balcony; some dorms are sex-segregated. There's a small, palm-shaded on-site pool, and an Internet and games room. Friendly reception staff will store your bags and valuables, and book tours. Beaches Bistro, downstairs, serves reasonably priced lunches, snacks, and nightly dinners. A free shuttle bus service runs between the bus terminal and the hostel.
