Set in a soaring A-frame wooden building with 30-foot ceilings, this restaurant at Voyages Coconut Beach Rainforest Lodge has floor-to-ceiling windows and a pool surrounded by rain forest. Polished wood and wicker tables and chairs surround a giant palm growing up through a hole in the floor—a classic tropical environment in which to sample creative cuisine. Dishes combine quintessentially Australian ingredients with Asian culinary methods—think croc and chicken pie with a lemon myrtle-mustard sauce or local barramundi. The wine list is heavy on Australian vintages. The Cape also serves full buffet breakfasts and light lunches.
