Tucked away in an inner-city suburb, this art-gallery café is famous for the 20 beautiful desserts that grace its menu. Savvy owner Martin Duncan focuses on healthful dishes, so you can indulge in wonderful sweets (such as artfully designed sundaes, served in vases) without guilt. The lunch menu is full of freshly made, interesting salads, burgers, quesadillas, and dishes such as stuffed red peppers. An extensive assortment of teas, coffees, and wines is available. The flamboyant flowers and modern Australian artwork are for sale. A second Freestyle Tout offers similarly health-conscious Mod-Oz cuisine, taken up a notch. It's open for dinner, with pricier à la carte dishes but the same dessert list as the original Tout.
