Queensland Cultural Centre

Fodor's Review:

The Queensland Museum, State Library of Queensland, and Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) are all here, as well as the Queensland Art Gallery and a short stroll away, the Queensland Gallery of Contemporary Art. There's also a host of restaurants, cafés, and shops. The State Library shop sells books and cards, and is an agent for ticketing the outlet Qtix. On Fridays from 11:30 (arrive 11:15), there are hour-long tours of the Performing Arts Centre for A$7.50. Backstage peeks at the 2,000-seat concert hall and Cremorne Theatre are often included.

  • Cost: Free
  • Open: Galleries weekdays 10–5, weekends 9–5; museum daily 9:30–5; library daily 10–5; library shop Mon.–Thurs. 10–8, Fri.–Sun. 10–5
