Fodor's Review:

Though it's just a few minutes outside the city center, this resort's 11 acres of tropical gardens make you feel a world away from the hubbub of Cairns. The colonial-style compound is built around three lagoonlike swimming pools, including a toddler pool, and a poolside café. A children's playground and babysitting services make it a great spot for families. Rooms, given fresh soft furnishings and carpets in 2007, have simple appointments, ceiling fans, and DVD players; studios also have cooking facilities. There's no dedicated spa on-site, but spa-style treatments are available. A free shuttle makes the run to the city center hourly, and courtesy airport transfers are provided.
