This comfortable resort nestles amid 11 acres of lush gardens 2 km (1 mi) from the beach. At the terrace restaurant, MacArthur's ($$), beef, chicken, and fresh seafood and tropical fruits are featured; try Cajun-style barramundi. Hiking trails into the national parkland are nearby, there are eight beaches to explore, and the energetic can take advantage of flood-lighted tennis courts in the cool evenings. There are also a children's playground and a games room. Courtesy bus transfers from Picnic Bay to the resort are available.
