Fodor's Review:

Some 1,300 creatures—from 230 different species—are housed in this gathering of spacious natural habitats. Popular attractions include the Australian Walkabout, the Penguin Plunge, and the Australian Bushwalk. You can also wander down a dry riverbed in the African Savannah, or delve through the thick foliage in the Asian Rainforest. To reach the zoo, catch the number 30 or 31 bus or take a ferry ride across the Swan River from the bottom of Barrack Street and then a 10-minute walk following the signs.
