Fodor's Review:

This charming old town 53 km (33 mi) west from Albany is nestled on a riverside—"where forest meets the sea," as the town motto goes. It's an ideal place to stop for a swim in the sparkling clear waters at Ocean Beach, or to browse through artisans' wares at the Old Butter Factory. If you want to stay a while, the Chimes Spa Retreat (08/9848-2255. www.chimes.com.au) offers luxury accommodations and spa services on a secluded 60-acre property, while the Cove (08/9848-1770. www.thecovechalets.com) has five craftsman-built chalets set in the forest with expansive views of the inlet.
