From Bunbury to Busselton, take the scenic route through Ludlow Forest, the only natural tuart forest in the world. These magnificent tuart trees, a type of eucalyptus or gum tree that thrives in arid conditions, have been standing on this land for 400 years. Just south of Ludlow Forest is Wonnerup House, first settled by the Layman family in 1834. Wonnerup House is an important surviving example of early farm pioneering. The homestead (1859) and dairy (1837) are managed by the National Trust.
