Part of a colonial-era hotel, this establishment has provided accommodations (with sea views) for more than a century. The property is geared toward business travelers, and the stylish, bright pastel rooms have desks and in-room broadband. It's just a short walk to the heart of Fremantle's cappuccino strip and markets. Café Panache, right on the Esplanade, draws crowds all day, while the Atrium Garden Restaurant has a lavish buffet.

As mentioned in the Fodor’s review, this hotel is intended for the business traveler. In fact, I was there for a conference. The rooms are modern and pleasant, much like any other nice modern hotel. The location is very good – a short walking distance from several waterfront restaurants and sites, and also near the Fremantle market.
