Most first-class properties and international names are in Perth's city center, and all have many modern facilities. Apartment-style accommodations have two or three bedrooms, a kitchen, and a larger living space, although these lack the hotel advantages of room service and 24-hour restaurants. Outside the city, bed-and-breakfasts provide comfort, charm, and a glimpse of local life. In farther-flung parts of the state—and there are plenty of these—much of the lodging is motel style.
