Perth's beaches and waterways are among the city's greatest attractions. Traveling north from Fremantle, the first beach you come to is Leighton, where windsurfers and astonishing wave-jumpers ride boards against the surf and hurl themselves airborne. Cottesloe and North Cottesloe attract families. Trigg, a top surf site and arguably Perth's best beach, overlooks an emerald-green bay. Scarborough is favored by teenagers and young adults. Swanbourne (between North Cottesloe and City Beach) is a "clothing-optional" beach.
