The Russell Review

For charm, character, and central location, it's hard to beat this ornate Victorian hotel. No two rooms are the same, but all have fresh flowers, down pillows, fireplaces, and quality furnishings. The spacious double rooms at the front have views of Circular Quay. There are also somewhat quieter standard-size double rooms overlooking Nurses Walk or opening onto an inner courtyard. Ceiling fans and windows allow for a breeze in all rooms, and the rooftop garden is a delight, especially in the evening. All rooms in this historic building were renovated in late 2010; additions include a much-needed guest elevator, four extra rooms and the new Russell Wine Bar, which serves a tapas menu for lunch and dinner.
