Zoo, and the gleaming Exhibition Centre, whose masts and spars recall the square-riggers that once berthed here. At the harbor's center is a large park shaded by palm trees. Waterways and fountains lace the complex together.

The Powerhouse Museum is within easy walking distance of the harbor, and to the south are Chinatown and the Sydney Entertainment Centre. The Star entertainment complex, based around The Star casino, lies just to the west of Darling Harbour.
