Since 1900, dining at Florentino has meant experiencing the height of Melbourne hospitality. After taking a seat in the famous mural room, with its wooden panels, Florentine murals, and hushed conversations, you can sample dishes like braised rabbit with muscatel and farro (a speltlike Italian grain), or tender veal shank with basil broth and black cabbage. Downstairs, the Grill Room has more businesslike fare, while the cellar bar is perfect for a glass of wine and pasta of the day.

We enjoyed the food and it was defintely the best meal we had in Melbourne. However the restaurant was quite crowded and noisy so that a conversation was difficult.
