Royce Hotel

Fodor's Review:

Built in a former Rolls-Royce showroom, the rooms in this elegant, 1920s-style hotel are suffused with natural light. A multi-million dollar upgrade in 2006 added two extra floors of accommodation. Luxurious touches, such as Italian marble bathrooms and 42-inch plasma TVs, have been added to many of the existing rooms and every room now has broadband. Choose from one-bedroom suites, suites with hot tubs, two-story mezzanine rooms, and others with balconies. All of the really good rooms have views of the Melbourne skyline and the Royal Botanic Gardens. The refurbished internal courtyard is now an even more pleasant spot to relax with a coffee and the newspaper. The amberroom bar schedules live jazz on weekends, and the dish restaurant is on-site.
