Koala Adventure Island

Fodor's Review:

Known as an Aussie budget getaway, this resort is a good all-rounder, offering great value as well as easy reef access. Every room has a balcony, a whirlpool tub, and sea or garden views. Package deals include three daily buffet meals and numerous activities, from archery to windsurfing. This is one of the few islands on the reef that has a golf course (set in a national park, with beach and island views), and the family-oriented setting means first-timers never feel intimidated trying to jet ski. Every night brings free entertainment, which might be karaoke, live music, a movie on the big screen in the Discovery Bar, or a trivia night; on Friday evening, there's a Polynesian-themed seafood feast and show.
