Peppers Palm Bay

Fodor's Review:

This luxury chain has a great reputation—and this elegant property, with its attentive service, gorgeous setting, and good food, lives up to the hype. The 21 stylishly outfitted cabins, bures (tropical-style bungalows with thatched roofs), and A-frame bungalows strung along the shore all have private balconies with hammocks overlooking the beach. Cabins, roughly equivalent to standard rooms, have dark wood furnishings and neutral hues; bures have lounges; bungalows are full suites with separate lounge areas. Guests can snorkel, fly over, or dive the reef and use the resort's canoes and paddle-skis. Those needing to relax can take advantage of the saltwater pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, Pandanus Bar's excellent tropical cocktails, or the endota spa's long list of treatments. After-dark entertainment is low-key and sophisticated: fine wine, fine dining, conversation, perhaps a hit of tennis on the floodlit court, or a film at the resort's mini-cinema. You can book just a room, or pay for a package that includes meals.
