By Train in Canberra

The Canberra Railway Station is on Wentworth Avenue, Kingston, about 6 km (4 mi) southeast of the city center. Xplorer trains, operated by Countrylink, make the four-hour trip between Canberra and Sydney twice daily. A daily bus-rail service by Countrylink makes the 10-hour run between Canberra and Melbourne, but first requires a bus to Cootamundra.

Countrylink has reservation and information offices at the Canberra Railway Station.
