Fodor's Review:

The most comprehensive collection of Australian art in the country is on exhibit in the nation's premier art gallery, including superlative works of Aboriginal art and paintings by such famous native sons as Arthur Streeton, Sir Sidney Nolan, Tom Roberts, and Arthur Boyd. The gallery also contains a sprinkling of works by European and American masters, including Rodin, Picasso, Pollock, and Warhol. Free guided tours commence from the foyer at 11 and 2 each day. Although admission is free, there's usually a fee for special exhibits, which often display artwork from around the world.

  • Cost: Free
