Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve

Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve Review

The walking trails, wetlands, and animal exhibits within this reserve, many of which were badly damaged in the bushfires of 2003, have recovered beautifully since then. The park is 40 km (25 mi) southwest of Canberra.

With patience at dusk we saw platypus swimming in the lake--the outline just under the surface and then the rump and tail with each dive. Plenty of parrots, wallabies, etc., but the platypus was the highlight for us.
