Alice Springs Reptile Centre

Fodor's Review:

Thorny devils, frill-neck lizards, and some of the world's deadliest snakes inhabit this park in the heart of town, opposite the Royal Flying Doctor Service. May to August (winter) the viewing's best from 11 to 3, when the reptiles are most active. You can even feed the snakes by hand and pick up the pythons. There's also a fossil cave. Free talks are conducted daily at 11, 1, and 3:30.

  • Cost: A$12
  • Open: Daily 9:30-5
