Tailcoats were de rigueur dinner attire when this Victorian church manse was built in the heart of North Adelaide, but the dress code for the modern French gem it houses is thankfully more relaxed. Continental cuisine, such as fillet of leatherjacket with bone marrow, is prepared with flair, and special effort is made to add local ingredients to classic and contemporary dishes (try the steamed King George whiting with squid-ink linguine). Wood-burning fireplaces and an outdoor terrace make dining a pleasure any time of year. The wine list includes both cellar-aged and boutique vintage bottles.
