Turtle & Shark Lodge Review

More like a family holiday home than a hotel, the Turtle & Shark Lodge is perched on volcanic cliffs overlooking lovely Larson's Cove on the south side of the island, a couple of miles from the Fagatele Bay National Marine Sanctuary. This volcanic area is a treasure trove of natural attractions with caves, a blowhole, cliffs, and many little beaches that you can see and hike to. The lodge offers very flexible accommodations, with an upstairs (Fale Luga) and downstairs (Fale Lalo) apartments, each with three rooms. When available, however, guests can also book an individual room or two rooms. Each apartment has free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a living and dining room, full kitchen with microwave, laundry room, and private outdoor deck, and guests enjoy use of a pool, tennis court, and barbecue stove. A few miles inland are the separate Turtle & Shark Golf Course Apartments, with similar accommodations near the island's 18-hole course. The staff at both lodgings can arrange airport pickups and book diving, fishing, and sightseeing tours.
