Top New Zealand craftsmen created this luxurious, earth-brick complex, whose arresting decor competes for attention with the stunning views of Lake Tekapo and the Southern Alps. Arched, studded antique church doors open into a beamed entrance area where fine art mixes with farming paraphernalia. Wrought-iron embellishments run throughout the building, with most furnishings made of oak or elm. The front rooms open out to a covered veranda, the garden, and the best views.
