$$$-$$$$, Contemporary, City Center
Fodor's Review:
Auckland's original seaside brasserie is still one of the best. The innovative menu makes good use of local produce, such as creamy Clevedon coast oysters and fried shallots in a champagne vinaigrette, and Waimarino free-range pork served with kumara (New Zealand sweet potato), apple syrup, and toasted-fennel jus. The extensive wine list has several vintages of local icons such as Kumeu River. If you're in town on the weekend, reserve an outside table overlooking the harbor for brunch.
