Jupiters Townsville Hotel & Casino
Fodor's Review:
Dominating Townsville's waterfront area, this hotel complex is the city's entertainment center. Rooms, which have terrific views across the bay to Magnetic Island from all 11 floors, are large, bright, and colorful -- and surprisingly quiet, given their proximity to North Queensland's first casino. The health club and tennis courts have ocean views. At Essence, a Mediterranean-flavor menu features premium local produce, while at Aqua, the "tropical cuisine" includes all-you-can-eat buffet dinners for A$25 Sunday through Thursday, and a great seafood buffet on weekends for A$37. Daily buffet breakfasts are A$22.50-A$25.
