¢-$, Caloundra
Fodor's Review:
This purpose-built modern hostel prides itself on being the best value in town. There are twin rooms (without bathrooms), doubles with en suites, and one triple, plus two eight-bed dorms (from A$22 per person, per night). All rooms are simple but tasteful, outfitted in blue and white. Guests share two fully-equipped kitchens and, when they're not out surfing or sightseeing, can watch DVDs or get online in the hostel's sociable common areas. It's a five-minute walk to the beach, two minutes into town.
