$-$$, Australian, Noosaville
Fodor's Review:
Expatriate New Yorker Jim Berardo came to Noosa to retire, but he ended up with two restaurants. Berardo's on the Beach, the more-casual one, has a prime location open to the Noosa shores, and attracts a constant stream of customers. Quirky fish sculptures line the walls, and handblown chartreuse carafes are on every table. The weekly menu lists fresh juices, cocktails, extravagant open sandwiches, and light meals such as steamed mussels with gremolata (Italian seasonings), oregano, tomato, and toasted sourdough. There's also a gourmet deli bar with takeout options.
