Lang Co Beach

In the dry season that runs from April through to August, Lang Co makes for an oasis from the modern construction along the Danang coastline with pristine, white, sandy beaches and tranquil lagoons lined with oyster shacks and seafood stalls. The quickest route from Danang takes you through the Hai Van tunnel and knocks a good hour off the journey, while the most scenic involves a sometimes hair-raising drive on a winding mountain road—but it's worth the effort for the spectacular views from the Hai Van Pass (Deo Hai Van). The panoramic view of the East Sea and Truong Son Mountain range is unparalleled in Vietnam. (If you look closely, you can make out the Marble Mountains in the distance beyond Danang.)
