Streets Restaurant Review
Help young locals while you dine at this Old Town restaurant heavy on vegetarian options. Street youth are given the opportunity to refine their hospitality skills during an 18-month training program here through the nonprofit organization Streets International, which employs orphaned and disadvantaged Vietnamese teens, many of whom go on to work at five-star restaurants and hotels. The food is good, so you're not giving up taste for charity. Dishes include thick noodles with pork, crispy rice pancakes, and caramelized eggplant and tofu served in a clay pot. Those with a sweet tooth should save room for the coconut parfait with grilled pineapple and ice cream.
