Bringing fine French cuisine to the heart of Hanoi, Chef Benjamin Rascalou, who trained at several prestigious restaurants in Paris, has created an inspired menu of crab remoulade, foie gras terrine, and smoked salmon with eggplant crumble in Gorgonzola sauce. Main entrées, such as the candied duck or sesame-encrusted shrimp, will set you back more than most restaurants in Hanoi will, but the flavors are worth the splurge. Those who order the six-course degustation are

treated to a trio of desserts and a complimentary bottle of champagne. The open-air courtyard is delightful, and the ambience is classy and sophisticated without being overly pretentious. Fans of beef carpaccio must try it here, as it is dribbled with pistachio oil and fig syrup.
