Amandara Island Resort Review

If you are looking for quiet, head to Amandara, a small resort on Kho Khao Island, approximately 20 minutes north of Khao Lak. A group of bungalows faces the shore at alternating angles around a floral garden. Bungalows have red tile floors and large patios; the only differences between deluxe and superior rooms are that some of the deluxe ones are beachfront, slightly larger, and have bathtubs. Many coconut trees grow throughout the resort, providing much needed, but potentially dangerous shade along the beach. Just offshore is a small sandy island, surrounded by a good snorkeling reef, which is reached by the resort's longtail boat. The resort is on the far northern end of a 12-km (7-mi) beach ideal for long walks.
