If you don't mind a few geckos in your room, this resort is a great place to stay. Six styles of bungalows are available, from the two-story, beachfront Holy Tree, which has a large deck and breezy sea view, to the Roof Terrace Bungalows, which feature rooftop sun chairs. Bamboo bungalows on stilts with shared baths are available for budget travelers; newer concrete bungalows have small lofts above the baths with fans and mosquito nets for families with adventurous kids. Maprao is on a small private beach between Tonsai and Long Beach, accessible only by foot or by boat.
