This place used to be home to the annual King's Cup Regatta—now the only yachts here are decorative carvings on the walls, but the place is still every inch a luxury destination. Beautifully appointed rooms in a modern Thai style all have balconies overlooking the sea with views of Promthep Cape in the distance. The building's layout has balconies staggered up the hillside. Some would say this is to afford each room a perfect view of the sea. Others would say it allows you to look down and see your sun-tanning neighbors. Pros: modern Thai furnishings; great views. Cons: isolated location.
